There’s a free online resource with the DVD which includes workout plans for beginner, intermediate, advanced and ‘super-fit’ which use certain workouts from the collection in a certain order with rest days, and also contains lots of clean and healthy recipes, a meal plan and tips to get the most out of your two-week workout.

6. Jillian Michaels’ Shred It With Weights DVD

Kettlebells are incredible pieces of kit, as their function is relatively unique. Their shape means that their weight distribution is unbalanced so it’s harder to control the weight – the weight itself is round and sits beneath the handle rather than balanced at either side of it – but because they’re so heavy you incorporate your whole body to lift it, using more momentum than strength. This means that kettlebells offer the perfect balance of cardio and strength in their explosive movements, even when they don’t seem challenging like a kettlebell swing. It feels so easy, but it’s such an effective total-body move.

8. Kettlercise Ignite DVD

Kettlercise Ignite consists of three 20 minute workouts, each with a 5 minute warm up and 5 minute cool down, and instructed by two familiar faces: Anoushka and Stacey, with Mandy in the back, all of whom you would recognise from Lean In 14. All three workouts utilise kettlebells to a slightly different end: cardio, interval training, and after burn. You wouldn’t think that three kettlebell workouts could be so different, and that’s a very good thing because it keeps it from becoming exhausting. I used this DVD 3 times a week on non-consecutive days for 5 weeks, and never once got comfortable or familiar enough with the DVD for its difficulty to drop. Some moves are repeated – windmills and swings are, after all, some of the most effective kettlebell moves – but there are a wide variety and a number that are only found on one workout.

The Element: Barre Conditioning contains two approx. 30 minute barre workouts. They are created by Sadie Lincoln, the founder of Barre3 brand. I have never heard of Barre3 but I plan to discover more! A quick Amazon search shows quite a few Barre3 workouts. Like all of the Element workouts, this workout is in a beautiful setting–green with flowered trees, a reflecting pool, the Pacific Ocean. Just the setting is gorgeous and relaxing. The workouts are done with voice overs but after sampling other voice over workouts (like Tracy Anderson), Element does theirs very well.

Another marvellous entry from Futura finishes out this list. From a purely engineering point of view, this one is an excellent case study. How to choose best electric radiators for you

Power
It must have the right energy output. The larger the room, the more power you’ll need.

If one radiator is not enough, it can be useful to acquire two for the same room. If the room is small, a low-power radiator should be chosen, it will warm the room and save on energy.

Programming
Another important element is the programming function and turning the radiator on and off. Also, some radiators include a thermostat that turns them on or off depending on the environmental temperature.

Remote control
Models that include a remote control are easier to operate. You don’t have to move to turn on, turn off or adjust the temperature.

Design
When you are planning to buy an electric radiator, we must take into account whether or not the design fits with the room and your home.

Most customers want a modern-looking radiator that gives a touch of elegance to your room.

If you need several radiators for your home, you should buy all of them from the same brand, while varying the power and size to the room, to maintain the same aesthetic.

Installation and transport
If you plan to move your new radiator around the house you should ensure you purchase a light-weight model or a model with wheels. A model that is easy to install onto the wall is also useful. Some designs offer both, and this is undoubtedly an advantage.

Conclusion

If you can dream products , you can add it to your home in the form of a radiator – it really is as simple as that!

Whether you’re working out in a gym or in a small space at home, a kettlebell can make an efficient addition to your routine. Kettlebells are small, typically round free weights that come attached to a handle that you can use to grip the weight.

Whereas many free weights come in sets, kettlebells are designed to be used on their own, so they offer a particularly small space-friendly way to strength-train.

Choosing the best kettlebells to change up your strength-training routine—or cut down on fitness equipment.

Are you worried about bringing such a heavy piece of equipment into your home and the associated risk of denting your floors? Personal trainer Eric Guilmette is. “If you picked up a standard cast-iron kettlebell and dropped it on granite or hardwood — or whatever material your flooring is — it’ll at the very least leave a dent, if not worse,” he told, adding that he recommends people ease into the kettlebell space with a soft kettlebell. “It is durable, can withstand general wear and tear — but most importantly, it isn’t going to damage your home or hurt (as much) if you slam it into your foot.” The handle on this kettlebell is relatively large, too, which gives you plenty of grip space for two-handed movements like a kettlebell swing.

How to choose the best kettlebell weight for you?

Unlike dumbbells and barbells, kettlebell weights are usually measured in kilograms. So a 6-kg kettlebell equates to 13 pounds, and a 16-kg kettlebell is 35 pounds. “As a general rule of thumb, larger muscles can lift more so you want to choose a heavier kettlebell. Lower-body compound movements will usually be stronger than upper. So for most people, a deadlift will be the heaviest lift, followed by the squat, then for the upper body, the back is usually stronger than the chest and shoulders,” Peel says.

You also want to keep the number of reps and sets in mind for each exercise when choosing the right weight. If you’re thinking of buying kettlebells, Peel recommends purchasing a pair. “This way you can use one for the upper body, such as the row and press, and then a pair to double the weight for lower-body exercises,” Peel says. “Most of my female clients benefit from owning a pair of 12-kg kettlebells and a pair of 16-kg kettlebells. Most of my male clients will work with 20-kg and 24-kg kettlebells. That said, there aren’t any hard or fast rules when it comes to choosing weights. Allow yourself to play with different weights for a variety of movements, both ballistic and grind, and possibly bottoms-up work as well!,” she says.

How to choose the right weight kettlebell?

The problem with buying a single piece of strength equipment like a set of dumbbells or a kettlebell is that different moves call for different resistance amounts. One of the main selling points of a kettlebell is that it’s such a diverse piece of equipment, but to really maximize its use, you want to choose the single weight that will deliver the most bang for your buck.

How heavy a kettlebell should you go for?

You might bench press big weight, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to handle the heaviest kettlebells with ease. Unlike a lot of conventional weight training, you’ll be increasing the muscle groups being put to use and really have to think about form to get the full benefits.

Conclusion

Kettlebells are great because you can use them with slower, more controlled exercises and also with faster, more dynamic ones. This makes the kettlebell a particularly versatile piece of fitness equipment. “Kettlebells are a game-changer because you are able to perform a variety of dynamic movements with just one piece of equipment,” Okaah says, adding that you can use the weight to work a range of different muscles, depending on what exercises you’re doing.

The Best Budget Camera Phone In UK 2021

The best budget camera phone have the benefit of inheriting the features of the previous generation’s high-end handsets. This has been the case for a while, of course, but obviously as time goes on, the tech that trickles down the product line gets more and more advanced – and there have been some very significant improvements and developments in the last year or so.

Here we will focus on phones that suit a lower, and perhaps more sensible, budget. Even cheap phones can now take excellent photos during the day, and those with multiple focal lengths are perfect for travel and street photography.

You can spend significantly less than $200/ £200 and still get an excellent phone with multiple useful cameras on the back – and if you’re looking for even cheaper handsets (so cheap that you can treat them as disposable), take a look at the best burner phones. So, here’s the best of the budget range…

Top 10 Best Budget Camera Phone In UK 2021

Here are the top budget camera phone that we have chosen for you.

1. Samsung Galaxy S10e

If you’re a keen smartphone photographer, but you don’t want to splash your cash on a handset with all the bells and whistles, then the Samsung Galaxy S10e might just be the perfect compromise for you.

Featuring a powerful dual rear camera with a wide angle 12MP f/1.5 lens and a 16MP f/2.2 ultrawide lens, the Samsung Galaxy S10e is great for snapping pictures throughout the day. The only thing it’s really missing is a telephoto lens, but these tend to be used less than wide angle lenses anyway.

Meanwhile, the front-facing camera is a respectable 10MP f/1.9 camera, which is perfect for talking selfies and chatting to your friends and family on video chat.

The Samsung Galaxy S10e features a Full HD+ screen with a 5.8 inch display. It also features wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, which is a great flagship feature in such an affordable handset.

Meanwhile, this Samsung camera phone has a powerful 3,100mAh battery and uses either the Snapdragon 845 chipset or the Exynos 9810 chipset, depending on what region you’re in.

2. Motorola Moto G8 Power

The Moto G8 Power’s cameras are versatile, in a budget context at least. Very few phones this cheap have a zoom and an ultra-wide camera. Most use cheap filler sensors to bulk up the spec list, but this phone offers 2x shots with appreciably better detail than a crop of a shot captured with the primary 16-megapixel camera.

Its zoom and ultra-wide use unremarkable 8-megapixel sensors, but that sense of having a better set of tools to work with still enhances the experience here. Elsewhere, the Moto G8 Power has a good 6.4-inch 1080p screen with punch hole, Snapdragon 665 CPU and a plastic shell.

However, the G8 Power does not have the dedicated night mode of the Motorola Moto G8 Plus. Consider the upgrade if low-light image quality matters more than a zoom lens and superior battery life. The Plus has a 48-megapixel main camera, 16MP ultra-wide and 5MP depth assist.

3. Google Pixel 4a

Google has set the standards yet again with the Pixel 4a. This phone succeeds and surpasses the Pixel 3a with better performance, an amazing camera performance, and an even lower price point. This phone costs under £350, which is a surprising price for a phone that can take such nice photos. It might very well be the very best budget camera phone around, but you can learn more about that in our full review.

The 12.2MP camera is the same Sony IMX363 sensor you find in the Pixel 4 and Pixel 3a series. What really takes this otherwise mundane camera specs to the next level is Google’s software enhancements, though. Their level of computational photography is on another level. The Pixel 4a adopts features from the Pixel 4 series, such as Astrophotography Mode, Night Sight, and the dual exposure sliders.

4. OnePlus Nord

As OnePlus went from the “flagship killer” to true flagships in their own right, consumers were clamoring for a more affordable option from the company once again.

It’s not as amazing as some of the other budget camera phones on this list, but you get a lot for what you pay, and the main camera is pretty good. It also helps the rest of the phone is pretty awesome. The hype surrounding the Nord was almost overwhelming at times, but with good reason. A solid processing package, a gorgeous new colorway, and OnePlus’ excellent software experience are all included.

5. iPhone SE

Apple’s actually launched an incredible value smartphone in 2020, it’s iPhone SE. The phone combines flagship power with water-resistance and wireless charging – all flagship features. The design might look familiar; that’s because it lifts the body of the iPhone 8, and packages up 2020 flagship innards in the old-school shell. That said, its performance is on-point, and costs curbed.

The camera is another area the iPhone SE skimps when compared to some of the competition, but that doesn’t mean its bad. The single 12MP snapper can grab high-resolution, portrait mode photos and even shoots 4K video. Add to the mix the fact it has budget price, and Apple’s officially beating many Android smartphones at the game they normally dominate – value for money.

6. Redmi Note 9 Pro

The Redmi Note 9 Pro is a big-screened smartphone packing stacks of pixel-power in its five cameras – a combined 95MP. With its huge 6.67-inch display, it’s a perfect multimedia smartphone on a budget, and thanks to its huge 5020mAh battery, it’s also the phone to get if you need all-day and all-night power.

In the box, the Note 9 Pro ships with a handy case that even has a flap to cover up the USB-C port. While that doesn’t make it waterproof, it should help from the odd splash and bits of pocket-lint. The phone’s also protected by Gorilla Glass 5 around the front and back, and with a pre-fitted screen protector, so it’s hardier than your average budget smartphone.

Shipping with either 64GB or 128GB storage and an SD card slot, so you can bump up the space for files, photos and more, it punches above its price. Powered by a Snapdragon 720G, it won’t fall at the final hurdle – performance – whether emailing, browsing or 3D gaming.

7. Nokia 5.3

Nokia 5.3 features a four-lens setup, including a 13MP main (wide) lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth lens, and a 2MP macro lens. This is something you won’t find even with the Pixel 4a or iPhone SE, and it really does provide a fair amount of versatility for the price, even if not a single one of the lenses is truly impressive.

Our review of the phone found that shots taken with its camera do often need editing to look really good, but if you have the wherewithal to actually edit pics, then the inclusion of the extra lenses makes it worthwhile. It also comes with a welcome Portrait Mode, if you want to take some pics for social media.

Overall, the Nokia 5.3 may not be ideal for someone who intends to use their smartphone extensively, but if you’re a light user, it could be just the ticket. Its quad-lens camera can be fun in the right conditions, and while more serious photographers would probably be advised to look at something like the Pixel 4a, the Nokia 5.3 is probably the best $200 camera phone.

8. Samsung Galaxy A50

Samsung is best known for its high-end phones, but the A50 has stepped into the mid-range as a strong option. The 25MP main camera is capable in good and mixed lighting, though as expected for this price point comes up short in lower light. But what’s surprising for this money is the addition of both a dedicated wide-angle camera, which takes fun shots with a new perspective, and a dedicated depth camera for portrait shots.

The 6.4-inch display is both bigger and much nicer than you’d ever expect for something that competes in the mid-range, as is the beautiful hardware. The spec sheet is strong, with a 4000mAh battery that gives you great longevity. You’ll have to face some Samsung-induced bloatware in the software, but the A50 is a great overall phone that isn’t at all let down by its cameras.

9. Honor 9X

The Honor 9X is a cool-looking smartphone with a good camera and when you combine this with the good battery and a very reasonable price-point – you can’t go far wrong with the Honor 9X if you’re on a budget.

Do you really need the 48MP option? Probably not and it would have been nice to see a metal/glass design but this doesn’t change the fact that the Honor 9 is a lovely looking smartphone that has a fun pop-up camera, a big screen, feature-packed camera app and, rather importantly for some, a headphone socket.

There are some negatives with the camera that let the Honor 9X down a bit such as bokeh effects clipping your subject, the odd over-saturated photo and a rubbish digital zoom but for the most part, the Honor 9X will capture good images with good levels of sharpness and colour reproduction (even more so if you’re just going to share images to social media). However, if photography is your main reason for buying a new smartphone, you will probably prefer the quality more premium brands offer.

10. Huawei P30 Lite

For those looking for a budget-friendly, modern-looking smartphone which will capture decent images for sharing online, the Huawei P30 Lite could be on your ‘worth considering’ list.

You get plenty of storage, good AI features and the overall design of the P30 Lite makes it look a lot more expensive than it is. The screen-to-body ratio is excellent with the dewdrop front-facing camera not only taking up less room but it also makes the smartphone look cooler, too.

It has a triple camera, sometimes the shots are a little oversaturated and the 48MP sensor isn’t that great but for those who simply want to share images online with friends, the P30 Lite does an OK job. Plus, selfies are actually rather good so those who regularly use Snapchat or Instagram will be happy.

How to choose the best budget camera phone for you

There are many factors to consider if camera quality factors heavily into your smartphone purchasing decision. A good way to start is by asking yourself what kinds of photos you see yourself taking. Not all multi-lens cameras are created equal — some have ultrawide lenses for stunning landscapes, others have telephotos for zoomed-in shallow-depth-of-field portraits, and others still have both.

Something else to consider: Megapixels don’t matter as much as aperture. Cameras with a wider aperture (lower ƒ-stop numbers translate to wider lenses) let in more light, which greatly helps produce better shots in the dark. The high-megapixel sensors found in the latest devices are nice, but it’s a common misconception that pixel count directly translates to better-looking photos.

Do you need a portrait mode that allows for bokeh backgrounds? That’s where the subject of the photo is in sharp focus, while an artistic blur blankets the rest of the scene. Although it started as a feature exclusive to multi-camera phones, the single-lens Pixel 4a and iPhone SE are both capable of capturing bokeh-effect portraits.

Front camera specs are important, too. In a world where we’re taking more selfies than ever, you shouldn’t overlook a phone’s front camera. Some front cameras, like the ones on the iPhone 12 and Pixel 5, can actually perform the same portrait mode effects that rear cameras pull off.

Finally, don’t forget about video. Your cameras shoot more than just still images. Consider what resolution the camera captures video at along with the frame rate. A word to the wise, though: Be wary that ratcheting up the resolution will result in clips that take up much more space on your smartphone’s internal storage.

Conclusion

We’ve been reviewing every major smartphone for years, so we know when a particular model stands out from the crowd or does something it really shouldn’t. This is how you can be sure that, when we say a smartphone is good, it stands up well against any other phone you’re likely to come across in its category.

3. Duracell-CopperTop AA Alkaline Batteries

While many modern tech gadgets tout sophisticated charging methods (e.g., using solar power), alkaline batteries remain a staple power source for most electronics. Duracell’s CopperTop AA alkaline battery-pack particularly stands out due to its unique construction and long life.

Since it is an alkaline battery rated at 9V, it provides dependable and long-lasting power for high-draining and low-draining devices, including flashlights, toys, remotes, and smoke detectors. On average, alkaline batteries provide 10 for continuous use.

This means a low power device like a wireless keyboard, trackball, or mouse can use the batteries for nine or more months before needing replacement. However, for a single battery LED flashlight, the battery provides a reasonable 1.5 hours of juice.

On the same note, Duracell is all about upholding the safety of your electronic devices by guaranteeing the batteries against defects in craft and material. As such, if any of your gadgets is damaged due to a battery defect, the company repairs or replaces it. And the good news is that the guarantee extends to ten years.

4. Energizer Ultimate Lithium

If you’re looking for a battery that can go the distance no matter the drain, look no further than the Energizer Ultimate Lithium. While 33% lighter than the equivalent alkaline battery, each one packs in a whole lot of charge; even after powering our 500 lumens test torch for 90 minutes they could still deliver 1.48V, keeping it at maximum brightness long after other batteries allowed the light to fade. After a further 90 minutes, we still had nearly 1V on our test meter.

That’s one impressive performance and, with a 20-year storage lifespan and the ability to work in temperatures from -40°C to 60°C, they won’t let you down. Needless to say, you pay for that kind of stamina, with each battery working out at over £1.50.

5. Energizer Alkaline Power

Most of us don’t buy batteries in advance but grab them when we need them, in which case the Energizer Alkaline Power batteries are ideal for everyday use.

They’re often cheap both in supermarkets and online stores, and you can pick them up for around 40p per battery if you buy in bulk. This might lead you to expect sub-par stamina, but the Energizers could surprise you: they were the top alkaline battery at the 60 and 90 minute marks in our tests, although they struggled further on with the voltage falling to just 0.75V after three hours of use, leaving the torch looking visibly near-drained.

Not your first choice, then, for high-drain devices, but if you’re looking to keep a wide range of gadgets in power, this is a great, cheap way to do so.

How to choose the best AA batteries for you

For some purposes – when you’re powering low-drain devices such as a clock or remote control – the differences aren’t that important, but with high-drain devices like a camera, game controller or anything with a lamp, screen or motor, you could see huge differences in lifespan and reliability.

Today’s disposable batteries break down into three basic types:
Zinc chloride: This used to be the general-purpose battery of choice, but alkaline batteries are now so cheap that you don’t often see them. They’re cheap as chips when bought in bulk and fine for low-drain gadgets such as a remote control, but you’ll go through them quickly on anything more demanding.

Alkaline: The mainstream battery technology for high-drain devices. They’re cheap and very easy to find, and last much longer than the old zinc chloride batteries. Technical advances have also seen the major problems – a short shelf life and a propensity to leak – reduced or even fixed.

Lithium: Lithium batteries work even better than alkalines. They last much longer, have an epic shelf life, don’t discharge as much power when not in use and can cope with extreme temperatures. While normal alkaline AAs struggle below 0°C, lithium batteries will operate down to -40°C. They can also be up to 9g lighter than the equivalent alkaline AA battery, which counts when you have something powered by four AAs. The only negative? They’re significantly more expensive.

Generally speaking, you should go for alkalines for most of your battery needs but opt for lithiums for digital cameras or other high-drain products where you need a reliable high charge for as long as possible.

Conclusion

AA batteries are the cream of the crop when it comes to batteries. And although we are in an age where built-in batteries are the modern trend, these batteries are not going anywhere. But as noted, they are not made equal. There several factors to consider when picking which batteries are the best for your unique needs.

The above article is a valuable reference for you to choose a suitable AA battery.

Out of all the best graphics cards available out there, I have made the selection job much easier for you by reviewing 10 best graphics card for gaming. You can select the one that meets all your requirements.

1. Palit GeForce GTX 1660 Super Gaming Pro

The GeForce GTX 16-series exists to cater to the bulk market with solid FPS rates for games at 1080p, including the e-sports crowd. NVIDIA RTX hardware isn’t available in this segment as the GPU would be too slow for real-time ray-tracing due to its size. DirectX Raytracing through software is available on all Turing cards, including the GeForce GTX 16, but at lower performance than what the “RTX” cards offer. The GTX 1660 also receives other architectural improvements, such as “Turing” CUDA cores, which offer concurrent integer and floating point execution, adaptive shading, and a unified cache.

In this review, we take a close look at the Palit GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GamingPro OC, the company’s premium offering based on this GPU. It comes with factory-overclocked speeds of 1830 MHz GPU Boost. An aluminium fin-stack cooler ventilated by a pair of fans and a backplate finish its premium looks.

How to choose best graphics card for gaming

Before choosing the graphics card that suits your needs, certain points should be kept in mind and properly understood. In this section we will be discussing all those point one by one.

Hardware Compatibility
Being able to fully customize your PC is one of the main appeals behind getting one, but having to worry about compatibility is probably the main reason why many shy away from it. And sure enough, all the different numbers and designations can be quite confusing to navigate if you’re new to the whole thing, but you’d be surprised as to how simple it actually is!

The Motherboard

The motherboard is probably the easiest component to pick when building a PC, as it is through it that other components interface and communicate.

The things to keep in mind when picking the motherboard are the format, the CPU socket, the chipset, the number of RAM and PCIe slots, along with the number of other connectors such as USB, SATA, M.2, and others.

The CPU
There isn’t much to worry about on the GPU-CPU compatibility front, as every modern CPU will work with every modern GPU. However, the question that you should be asking is how well the two can work together.

When picking a CPU to go with the GPU, you need to make sure that the CPU isn’t bottlenecking the GPU, or vice versa.
Basically, if you pair up a powerful GPU with a significantly weaker CPU, the GPU won’t be utilized to its full capacity because the CPU would be unable to issue new instructions fast enough.

The Power Supply
The power supply, as the name implies, is in charge of supplying all the components with adequate power that they need in order to function properly. The GPU is the most power-hungry component inside a gaming PC, so it’s always important to pick a PSU that would be a good match for whatever graphics card you have your eye on.

The Display
When it comes to finding the best monitor to go with your graphics card, here are the two most important things to keep in mind!
First up is the resolution. Generally speaking, you get to pick between three main resolutions when it comes to gaming monitors in 2021:
Full HD i.e. 1080p, good for those who prioritize performance over visuals or those on a tight budget
Quad HD i.e. 1440p, a great middle-ground between visuals and performance, probably the best resolution for gaming in 2021.
4K/Ultra HD i.e. 2160p, offers unmatched visuals but requires a high-end GPU if you want to maintain playable framerates in the latest and upcoming AAA games.

Conclusion

Hopefully you have a better sense of what to look for in a graphics cards. Survey the games and applications that matter most to you, and make sure that you select a graphics card that will meet at least the recommended specifications.

Top 10 Best TV 2021 In UK

Here are the top 10 best TV 2021 in the UK that we have carefully selected for you.

1. Samsung 2020 65″ Q80T QLED 4K

The Samsung Q80T represents a sensible middle ground for buyers looking to bag a high-spec Samsung QLED 4K TV. Available in screen sizes ranging from 49 to 85 inches (we had the 65-inch QE65Q80T for this review), the cheapest 2020 QLED TV to offer a full-array backlight, for more precise HDR and greater contrast.

The Q80T also boasts the Major of the brand’s advanced 2020 feature attractions, including Object Sound Tracking 3D audio, the latest iteration of the Tizen connected TV platform, and advanced gaming tech that’s ready for new features in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X.

It comes in slightly cheaper than the mainstream OLED TVs releasing in 2020, making it a very tempting option.

2. LG OLED55CX5LB 55″ 4K Ultra HD

In each year’s LG OLED range, it’s the C-class model that garners the most excitement.

This year’s C-class model is the CX, here reviewed in 55in OLED55CX guise. We’ve already tested and loved it at the new 48in size, but is it similarly superb at this more cinematic scale? It certainly is.
Having already tested LG’s 65in GX and 48in CX models, we knew what to expect from this 55in CX: a superlative performance that isn’t vastly different from last year’s C9 but does improve upon it in a few important ways.

That’s exactly what we’ve got. Compared with its predecessor, the CX offers more dark detail, richer colours and better motion and, when added to an already exemplary performance, that makes for an astonishingly capable all-round performer.

3. Panasonic TX-43HX580BZ

With designer good looks, this talented mid-ranger is the perfect option if you want a polished LED flat screen for home cinema, sports and gaming.

Picture quality has literally been fine-tuned in Hollywood, and the set boasts universal dynamic HDR support, which basically means it’ll automatically maximise image quality on a scene by scene basis when you’re watching 4k HDR programmes.

It’s also a great gaming TV, even giving the Samsung Q80T a run for its money when it comes to low input lag.

The TX-43HX580BZ is fashionably minimalist too. Just as we saw on last year’s Panasonic GX800 models, the LCD panel appears to sit on top of, rather than within, the bezel. It’s a cool design embellishment.

4. Samsung TU8500

This is the smallest of the Crystal UHD 8 series (it’s also available in 50-, 55- and 65-inch screen sizes), but it packs a lot into its modest frame.

Like its more expensive stablemates, the set runs Samsung’s Tizen platform, one of the best served when it comes to smart features. Not only does it have all the usual streaming and catch-up TV services, it boasts original niceties like Ambient mode (in which the picture blends with the wallpaper when in Standby), Multi View simultaneous smartphone/TV viewing and SmartThings gadget support.

Needless to say, the picture also has plenty of visual appeal, with rich colours and snappy contrast. We rate the TU8500 a terrific all-rounder.

5. TCL 55C715K

Intriguingly, it uses QLED panel technology, more commonly found on Samsung’s high-end TV offerings, coupled to the latest Android smart platform.

It also boasts posh niceties like Dolby Vision HDR, to ensure Netflix always looks presentable. In addition to this featured screen size, there are 55- and 65-inch versions, and they’re pretty cheap too.

One consequence of the 55C715K’s low price is the rather ordinary build quality, but that shouldn’t be an issue when you dim the lights and dish out the popcorn. Picture quality is above average for the cash, with a high level of detail and vibrant colours.

There’s no shortage of streaming services and catch-up TV either, thanks to the Freeview Play tuner, while Chromecast is built in, which makes it a doodle to cast from an Android smartphone to the set. It’ll also work with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

6. Samsung 2020 75″ Q950T

The flagship TV in Samsung’s 2020 range takes 4K video and boosts it to really make use of its 8K resolution, even though 8K content is non-existent at this point.

The AI-based upscaling does an incredible job of filling the 33 million pixels with images that still look natural and pristine – not like they’ve been processed. Given that this TV only comes in at bigger screen sizes, this could not be more welcome.

It’s the best way to watch 4K, put simply – and the job it does of upscaling regular ol’ HD is highly commendable as well, with only a few tiny processing imperfections slipping in that aren’t much different to what you see when upscaling on 4K TVs.

Even more luxurious is the HDR performance, thanks to a powerful direct full array backlight, producing massively bright images beyond almost anything we’ve seen before. It’s also capable of truly impressive contrast contrast, even in bright and dark areas right next to each other.

Add to that an excellent smart platform that makes it easy to watch any streaming or catch-up services you want, and you have a more-than-complete package.

7. Philips Ambilight 55OLED805

Over the last few years, Philips has developed an awkward habit of rushing its first TV of the year out before it’s truly ready.

The company has avoided making the same mistake this year; supplying a new OLED TV in plenty of time and without any signs of it being rushed or unfinished.

The 55OLED805 is a Philips OLED as it should be; genuinely excellent. With the OLED805, Philips has put itself in the running for a top TV. It produces stunningly crisp and detailed pictures from all sources, delivers far more accomplished audio than most rivals, adds awesome Ambilight to the mix, and has a lower price tag than its LG, Sony, Panasonic and Samsung equivalents.

Gamers may be put off by its lack of next-gen HDMI features, but for everyone else, the 55OLED805 represents an excellent purchase.

8. LG OLED Televisions 55 BX 6 LB

The LG BX OLED occupies a tense position in LG’s 2020 OLED TV range. As the cheapest of the lineup, it marks a more affordable entry point for those looking to switch to OLED. However, the model with the lowest specification, it somewhat compromises the advantages of an OLED screen. The question, as ever, is whether the trade-offs the LG BX makes are worth the price.

The answer is, almost certainly, a yes.

It offers the same picture advantages as its predecessors, including excellent color vibrance, deep blacks and contrast to make its pictures truly pop. While true black is beautiful, making use of OLED’s ability to turn pixels off entirely, less decisive shadows aren’t as brilliantly realized.

Still, its shortcomings aren’t enough to ruin our excitement at what the LG BX can deliver. You will get HDMI 2.1 support, VRR, and the excellent webOS smart TV platform. You even get the same 2.2-channel speakers and Dolby Atmos support, albeit without the TV stand design used by the CX to funnel downward-firing audio towards the viewer.

9. LG Electronics Ltd. 75NANO906NA

LG’s insistence on using the so-called IPS type of LCD panel technology, has presented a barrier to LG LCDs being widely adopted by TV buyers who are motivated first and foremost by picture quality.

After all, while IPS technology is great when it comes to supporting wide viewing angles, the way it works makes it harder to control light well. Which in turn makes it harder than it is with the alternative (narrow viewing angle) VA LCD technology to deliver the sort of contrast and black tones AV enthusiasts typically look for.

With the LG Nano 90 series and, specifically its 75-inch 75NANO906, though, LG has finally come up with a solution: an intricate power control system that works well enough to put its LCDs back on the premium TV radar.

10. LG OLED48CX5LC

There are plenty of people who want the best TV possible but don’t necessarily want to go big, and those people have been rather left out through the 4K TV era. Finally, though, we have an OLED TV smaller than 50in, and what a TV it is.

This is not a downgraded flagship TV – it’s a downsized flagship TV. It has the same brilliant picture quality and feature set of LG’s flagship OLEDs in a smaller, more manageable form, and that’s cause for celebration.

It’s expensive for a TV this size, but if you’re looking for the best sub-48in TV you can currently buy, this is it.

How to choose the best TV 2021 for you

Is it worth getting a 4K TV? (And is 4K really better than 1080p?)
In a nutshell: definitely.

With a 4k screen, it really does look better than regular HD models. That’s because a 4k UHD TV uses 4 times as many pixels as a 1080p HD model.

There’s no 4k TV on regular terrestrial TV, but you will find it from streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube, as well as from premium pay TV suppliers like Sky, Virgin Media and BT. 4k is also available on UHD Blu-rays (you’ll need a UHD Blu-ray player to spin them).

But there’s a catch. To appreciate this resolution it makes sense to buy a screen larger than the one you’re replacing, or move your sofa nearer.

Most all new 4k TVs will also be HDR compatible. This translates to brighter highlights, so the sun shines hotter, lights glow more realistically in the dark, fireworks dazzle.

What are the key features I should look for in a smart TV?
All our featured screens connect to the internet over Wi-Fi, which means they have access to streaming services and catch-up TV.

Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube are all standard attractions, but the number of secondary services varies. If there’s a specific streaming provider you want, check your shortlisted sets offer it.

Is QLED better than OLED? And what’s the deal with LED?
OLED, QLED, LED LCD? TV manufacturers use a variety of panel technologies, each with their own pros and cons.

The vast majority of TVs available are LCD lit by an LED backlight (hence LED LCD). They’re bright and affordable, but can have a limited black level performance. Consequently, in a fully dark room, blacks tend to turn grey.

OLED models are only available in larger screen sizes (55-inches plus) and command a price premium. OLED is widely regarded as the best TV technology currently available.

Conclusion

All in all, a high quality TV will give you the best visual experience, worth the money you spent. With the top 10 tv we have listed, now you can easily choose for yourself a tv that suits your needs.

2. Panasonic Lumix FZ80 / FZ82

The Lumix FZ80 (known as the Lumix FZ82 outside the US) might be one of the most affordable bridge cameras here, but it still packs quite a punch. The zoom range is very impressive, going from an ultra-wide 20mm through to a staggering 1200mm, and benefits from an effective image stabilization system. There’s also 4K recording with Panasonic’s 4K Photo, which can shoot 8MP images at 30fps, meaning you should never miss that split-second moment. It’s also very easy to use, with an intuitive touchscreen. The viewfinder could be better (and there’s no eye sensor to automatically switch between the viewfinder and rear screen), while high-ISO performance can’t match that of larger-sensor (and more expensive) rivals. That said, this is one of the best budget bridge cameras around.

Quality is great colours and crisp images. The zoom is amazing, simply amazing and the focussing system works brilliantly. Being so lightweight it is both easy to carry and to use.

I have also tried the videoing qualities and once again I am amazed at the results – even the microphone is good enough for most.

For the money I do not believe you can get any better than this, not just for quality of finished results, but also for the sheer amount of what you can actually do with it – amazing.

It’s our top 10 bridge camera, however, its fast execution makes it expensive. The Sony Cyber‑Shot RX10 IV is the most recent manifestation of Sony’s RX10 connect camera arrangement and steps forward from the RX10 III. The primary feature is the addition of a 315-point phase-detect AF framework, which makes it much better fit to following moving subjects, while the presence of a touchscreen, an element that has been strangely missing from the RX10 line-up – and in fact, a large number of Sony’s others lines up to this point – is likewise vital.Best Sony Bridge Camera

8. Fujifilm X-T4

Probably the closest thing to the perfect hybrid camera. The X-T4 is the best camera for those who like me take photography and videography seriously. It is an amazing little package, the video is amazing, the photos are amazing as well, the system includes all the lenses you need.

The Stills/Movie dial is genius, it cleans up the menus and makes everything much easier to setup quickly. The ergonomics are improved from the X-T3, the battery life is doubled, the new shutter is quieter and rated for 300,000 actuations. The IBIS is fantastic as well.

If you’re going to use this camera mainly for video, only a few lenses work as expected and pull focus smoothly, accurately and with minimum focus breathing according to Fuji, the 18-55 F2.8-4, the 50-140 F2.8 and 10-24 F4.0. So keep that in mind when choosing lenses.

9.Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K

Obviously, the BMPCC4K is an incredible piece of kit. However, it really is a cinema camera, not a pocket camcorder.
I would not recommend this device to non-professional videographers. It’s really more of a handy addition to a professional’s arsenal.
– 4k 60fps DCI RAW: This is unheard of at this price point (£1100 max, don’t overpay).
– Picture quality: It is near enough as good as larger full frame cinema cameras, the colour science is insane. Blackmagic have nailed it here.
– Recording formats: RAW and ProRES. RAW is incredibly versatile for editing, and ProRES is about as streamlined as it gets. My old outdated computer cuts through 4k ProRES like it’s butter.
– Ease of use: The interface, everything, just great!

How to choose the best bridge camera for you

1. The Dynamic Range of the Sensor
The dynamic range is the number of tones from the lightest light to the darkest dark that the camera can reproduce in a single photo. In landscape photography, it is very common that the dynamic range of the scene is enormous. When shooting sunsets and sunrises, we have extremely bright areas around the sun and dark areas in the shadows. This is when the dynamic range of the camera sensor becomes a key factor

2. Quality of the Image
The second characteristic of a camera that I look for is the Quality of the Camera’s image that the sensor produces. This factor is much more difficult to quantify. There are two ways to approach this issue. One is to check trusted reviews, which can be problematic since trusted sources are not too easy to come by these days.

The second approach is to check it yourself. There are plenty of resources where you can download the sample RAW files for any camera.

3. Auto Exposure Bracketing
The next characteristicyou look for is an easy one.you want to make sure that I have a decent bracketing functionality in my camera. Bracketing is an important technique for landscape photography.

4. ISO Performance
One of them is high ISO performance. If we look at the Canon 5D Mark 3, it outperforms the Sony a6000 in shooting in dark conditions by a large margin but, this does not make it a better landscape camera. Ideally, I would love to have a wide dynamic range sensor in my camera that could produce clean images at high ISO.

5.Focusing Speed and Accuracy
Focusing speed and accuracy are other characteristics that are not too important for landscape photography. In most cases, you shoot static scenes using the Back Button Focus technique or a manual focus so the accuracy, speed, and tracking become less important. But, if you are planning to compliment your landscapes with wildlife photography, which is a very common combination, the focus performance becomes an essential factor.

Conclusion

If you’re just starting out in photography, bridge cameras can be the ideal place to start. You get a lot for your money and it’s the ideal way to learn about different shooting modes and settings, without necessarily spending a huge amount of money.

For the most part, the Redmi Note 9 is better – or at least as good – as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T launched earlier. 3. Moto G9 Power

Motorola has outdone itself yet again with the Moto G9 Power. The middle child of the new budget trio, the moto G9 Power is the best value, with astonishing battery life and solid performance.

There’s absolutely nothing bewildering about the Moto G9 Power’s cutthroat value proposition. With cuts in just the right places, the Moto G9 Power hits the nail on the head in a number of areas, with respectable performance, a battery life of just under 27 hours in our tests, and a decent suite of cameras. The only reason it isn’t higher in this list is that the video quality isn’t the best for the price, and its display could better.

Regardless, if battery life and performance is at the top of your list of priorities, then the Moto G9 Power is a standout choice in the budget category.

4. Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC

It’s rare to get a 120Hz screen on a budget, but that’s exactly what you get with the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC. That can make interactions feel smoother, and its 6.67-inch 1080 x 2400 screen is large and fairly sharp too, as well as supporting HDR10.

And it’s not just the screen that stands out, as the Poco X3 NFC also has a fairly powerful Snapdragon 732G chipset, which offers excellent gaming performance for the money. With a big 5,160mAh battery too (which we found offered up to two days of life with moderate use) this really is a remarkable cheap phone.

There are some opinions that the camera, which isn’t as good as some others at this end of the market, but for gaming, video, and most general use, the Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC is hard to beat without spending quite a bit more.

5. OPPO A5 2020

Oppo isn’t a massive name in the west, but it has started selling phones here, and some of them – such as the Oppo A5 2020 – are well worth paying attention to.

This has a price that’s the definition of budget, yet packs in a spacious, bright, and vibrant 6.5-inch 720 x 1600 screen, and a massive 5,000mAh battery, which in our tests lasted well over a day between charges.

It also sports a surprisingly expensive-looking (albeit plastic-clad) design, and a quad-lens camera. The actual performance of that camera isn’t special, and nor is the middling Snapdragon 665 chipset, but for the money the Oppo A5 2020 makes some very smart compromises.

6. Realme X50 5G

The Realme X50 5G (£279) is one of the best-value phone you can buy for under £300. This phone has a silky 120Hz display. Android’s menu screens scroll by with uncanny smoothness, making this feel slicker and quicker than any other phone near the price.

The Realme X50 5G has a Snapdragon 765G processor, which gets close to the real-world results of a flagship phone at a fraction of the cost, despite having much less raw power than a true top-end chipset.

The “G” part of that Snapdragon 765G’s name means it has been clocked for gaming. Android’s most demanding titles, like ARK: Survival Evolved, run much better on the Realme X50 5G than any other phone in this list.

7. Motorola Moto G Pro

The Motorola Moto G Pro is an oddball stand-out. It gets a little too close to the more powerful, 5G-equipped Realme X50 5G to top this list. But there are some unusual extras packed in.

The Moto G8 Pro has a slot-in stylus like the Galaxy Note 20, and it can tell when the pen is removed, loading a note-taking and doodling overlay. This is just a basic capacitive stylus with a ball of gauze over the end. There’s no pressure sensitivity, so it’s little use for real digital art on-the-go. However, basic doodling is just fine and you can use it to handwrite in place of tap or swipe typing.

This phone also has an “action” video camera with super-powered stabilisation. It lets you take a widescreen video when holding the phone upright, although it’s for video only, not stills.

There are three other highlights: above average night photos, thanks to Moto’s Night Vision mode. And the Motorola Moto G Pro has the most powerful speakers in this test, with plenty of volume and stereo output. Great for games, great for movies.

This smartphone costs less than £300, but it proved much faster at opening apps and browsing the web than most other budget models on our list. Its big 6.2-inch display has a streamlined design, making it comfortable to hold, and a fingerprint sensor for security. The camera took great shots in natural light during testing, and selfies looked sharp. However, photos taken in low light looked a little grainy.

9. Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G

Take a look at the specs sheet of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and you’d think it costs a lot more than it actually does – and you could say the same about when you take a look at the polish and finish of the physical hardware too. However you weigh it up, this is a smartphone that gives you a lot of handset for your money.

You get some decent battery life, some respectable specs (including 6GB of RAM) and a quad-lens rear camera with the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, as well as 5G connectivity – if the next-gen network is up and running where you live, then this phone is one of the cheapest ways to take advantage.

A special mention too for that big, sharp, bright 6.67-inch screen, which is great for everything from watching movies to browsing the web. It’s not a perfect phone – there’s no wireless charging, for example – but you’ll struggle to find a device that stretches your money further.

10. TCL 10 5G

Anyone who tells you that getting 5G on a phone is going to cost you a lot of money hasn’t come across the TCL 10 5G: not only does it offer 5G, you also get a very decent screen, processor and camera as well, all for a little under £300 if you’re buying direct and SIM-free.

Some corners are cut to get the phone to this price – no waterproofing, no wireless charging – but you can’t have many complaints considering the amount you’re paying. TCL is relatively new to the smartphone scene, even though it’s a veteran in the electronics industry, and we’re impressed with what it’s pulled off here.

Apart from the 5G that’s on board, it’s perhaps the display that has the most appeal here. It’s bright and vivid, and you get a host of software tweaks that you can apply to really make the colours pop if you need to.

How to choose the best laptops for students

Hard Drive

  • As far as Windows laptops go, and you don’t use many programs, look for a hard drive with a capacity of 256GB or higher. It’ll meet your needs and then some.
  • If you’re a power user, look for 500GB or higher so there’s more than enough space for other content.
  • If most of your activity takes place on the Web, then you might not need a hard drive larger than 32GB, which is just enough space for the operating system and storing a handful of documents offline.
  • If possible, find a solid-state drive over a traditional hard drive. Performance and speeds will increase astronomically. A 256gb SSD should be plenty.
  • Make sure you choose enough hard drive space. Otherwise, you may need to invest in external hard drives later, rather than by another laptop. Or have to buy an extra SD card.

RAM

  • If you need to do anything more demanding than just using a web browser, to find the best college laptop, look for one that has at least 4GB of RAM or more, ideally 8GB, especially if you plan on using programs like Photoshop.
  • If you’re just using a web browser, look for a college laptop with a minimum of 2GB of RAM. Your computer, whether it be Windows or Chrome OS, won’t even use that much, but it still ensures the speed and responsiveness of your machine.
  • Alternatively, find a machine that you can upgrade the RAM yourself, which can save you money during the initial investment.

Operating System

  • It’s important to find the right operating system for your College program. If you’re in Computer Science or something that requires you to use Windows or Mac applications, it’s good to shy away from Chromebooks.
  • If your studying takes place online and doesn’t require you to use any Windows or Mac applications, jump the gun and get a Chromebook.

Processor

  • A lower clocked dual-core processor below 2GHz won’t slow down your laptop if you’re using it for minor tasks like writing papers, browsing the web, watching media, and so on.
  • If you’re in a degree program that has some demanding programs (e.g. Photoshop, Autodesk 3DS Max, and medical software), make sure you look for a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 2GHz or higher. Not only will it last you longer running these types of programs, but rendering and general speed will be a lot faster and more efficient than a dual-core CPU below 2GHz. Pay attention engineering students. This goes for video editing too.
  • At the same time, don’t overbuy in processor clock speed. For instance, there aren’t many differences between a quad-core 3.7GHz processor and a quad-core 3.9GHz processor. The only real difference is the much higher price tag. There’s little effect as far as processing power and efficiency goes.

Display

  • Finding a good display has much to do with the size that you’re comfortable with and need to work with. Whether it be 11-inch or 17-inch displays, they’re each an HD display as long as they have a resolution of 720p or higher. Anything below that is often blurry and has very little clarity. Keep this in mind when choosing screen sizes. Look for Intel UHD graphics for a top-end experience. Intel UHD is an integrated graphics unit that ups your graphics considerably. You can even go for Intel HD graphics and get good results, but UHD is probably better.
  • You’ll want to make sure your display has a refresh rate of at least 60Hz to avoid any screen tearing or altered graphics when playing games and watching movies.
  • The display you purchase should have built-in features for reducing eye strain, such as dimming the brightness or even having a feature for night use. This will help a lot as far as eye strain goes.
  • A touch screen is nice, but not necessary for every situation. Touchscreen laptops are great for certain things, but what about your needs? The same goes for a convertible laptop like the Microsoft Surface Pro. Some things are just not ideal for every situation. Avoid gimmicks like a backlit keyboard since you are not looking for a laptop to play games.

Battery

  • Some lectures can last over four hours in a single sitting, which is why you’ll want a laptop that can at least double up on two of those a day without needing a recharge.
  • Most good quality laptops will have built-in power saving features that can stretch their life to 10 hours or more.
  • You should be able to get a full charge in just two to three hours, allowing you to quickly get back to work whenever needed.

Ports

The best laptops for college students will have more than a single USB port. More manufacturers are headed towards just including one USB port, but it’s truly a hassle to deal with, as you can’t really plug in any extra peripherals or accessories without connecting a USB hub first. So make sure that it also has USBC ports.

Make sure the laptop you buy has an HDMI, DVI, VGA, or Display Port. You never know when you might need to switch to a bigger screen, and having one of these ports will let you do that, with VGA being the most common for projectors you’d find in the average classroom. For fast charging, make sure your laptop has Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port.

Final Word

Buying a new laptop is a big decision. Students can avoid making hasty or uninformed purchases by doing their research, analyzing the pros and cons of each computer, and asking themselves how they plan to use it. And if you’re buying a laptop for the student in your life, now you know where to start, too.
